Reading time, not lost time

Why a free library still says 19+

Social casino games borrow the look, sound and pace of real gambling. Frostspire Library is intended only for adults above the legal gambling age and is not aimed at anyone under 19. Your age is confirmed twice: first on the banner that greets you, then again with a tick you must give when you create your account.

Promises Merribind keeps

• Offer real-money gambling, or promote it, on any shelf.
• Offer prizes of any real-world value.
• Sell coins, or slip in-app purchases among Merribind’s shelves.
• Steer you towards a gambling operator or affiliate.
• Tug you back to the spire with countdowns or streaks.

A frank word before you climb

A free game can be set up to feel generous, and it tops your balance back up at no cost. Real-money games do neither. A good run here tells you nothing about how you would fare with money on the line.

Warning signs, gently noted

• Sessions running far past what you meant.
• Feeling short-tempered when the reels stop.
• Spinning to escape a heavy mood.
• Playing that is eating into sleep, work or the people around you.
• Noticing that you are looking for a real-money version.

Staying master of your own evening

• Settle your playing time before you open the first eyepiece.
• Leave autoplay off, always.
• Step away from the telescope regularly.
